Rohini Encounter: The quiet night of Delhi reverberated with the sound of gunfire on Wednesday when a joint team of Delhi Police and Bihar Police conducted a major operation in the Rohini area. Four most-wanted criminals from Bihar, associated with the notorious gang known as "Sigma & Company," were killed in the encounter. The encounter took place virtually 2:20 a.m. on Bahadur Shah Marg, between Dr. Ambedkar Chowk and Pansali Chowk. This police whoopee put an end to the gang's reign of terror.
These criminals were accused of several serious crimes in Bihar, including murder, robbery, and extortion. Police had received intelligence that this gang was planning a major treason in the capital. Midnight encounter in Rohini
On the night of October 22-23, while people were asleep, a gunfight tapped out between police and criminals in Delhi's Rohini area. The police displayed bravery and killed all four criminals in the 15-minute gunfight. Several rounds of gunfire were fired at the scene, and a heavy police gravity was subsequently deployed in the area
Elimination of the 'Sigma and Company' gang
This gang had been zippy in Bihar for a long time, and Ranjan Pathak is said to be its leader. The gang was involved in murder, kidnapping, and extortion. Police suspected the gang was expanding its network in Delhi. Following the encounter, the gang's activities have now been completely halted.
Identification of the four criminals
One of the four criminals killed in the encounter was identified as Aman Thakur, a resident of Karawal Nagar, Delhi, while the remaining three were residents of Sitamarhi, Bihar. Police recovered sophisticated weapons and weaponry from them, with which they were continuously firing.
