New Delhi: Samrat Choudhary took the oath of office as the Chief Minister of Bihar, with this he has wilt the first Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader to hold the post without the resignation of Nitish Kumar. Janata Dal (United) leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary moreover took oath as Deputy Chief Minister of the state.
Before taking the oath, Samrat Choudhary visited the Hanuman Temple on Bailey Road to seek blessings. He then proceeded to Lok Bhawan and upon arriving there, he first approached former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and sought his blessings.

Samrat Choudhary wore a undecorous nehru jacket over a white kurta-pyjama for the oath ceremony.
