Kolkata: The Calcutta High Magistrate granted significant relief to Trinamool Congress MP Abhishek Banerjee on Sunday. The magistrate stayed the subversiveness of an office—located in Amtala, South 24 Parganas district, within the Diamond Harbour parliamentary constituency—for the time being.
During a special hearing on Sunday, Justice Raja Basu Chowdhury directed the state government to submit all documents related to the Amtala towers to the court. The towers is tangibly owned by the visitor 'Leaps and Bounds'. In a separate case, the Enforcement Directorate has personal that Abhishek Banerjee is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of this company.
