Firecrackers unliable on Diwali or not?
As per the recent verdict of the Supreme Court, only untried firecrackers tried by the National Environmental Engineering Research Institute (NEERI) will be unliable for sale and use in Delhi-NCR for Diwali. Notably, 'Ladi' firecrackers will not be allowed. Apart from this, all the tried untried firecrackers must have QR codes.
Strict Monitoring on Diwali
It is worthy to be mentioned here that strict measures will be taken to trammels if the Supreme Court instructions related to the use of untried firecrackers is implemented properly in Delhi-NCR or not.
Time limit for the use of untried crackers on Diwali
As per the Supreme Court order, the sale of untried firecrackers has been unliable for three days i.e., from October 18 to 20. Meanwhile, permission has been granted to splash untried firecrackers from 6 am to 7 am and 8 pm to 10 pm on October 19 and 20.
Licenses for sale of untried crackers
As per a report of PTI, the wardship has provided 168 temporary licences for the retail sale of NEERI-approved untried firecrackers at selected locations till Saturday.
Conditions laid out by the Supreme Court
Some other conditions laid out by the Supreme Court on use of untried crackers are as follows:
- There will moreover be a patrol team that will monitor the untried cracker manufacturers as well as QR codes will moreover be uploaded on the website.
- As per the order, no firecrackers to be brought from outside the NCR region.
- As per the SC order, the pollution tenancy boards will trammels the air quality till October 21, collect sand and water samples and submit the report.
- It moreover stated that license will be suspended if fake firecrackers found.
- The SC moreover stated that it will monitor the matter then without three weeks.
