National News: Sunjay Kapoor controversy is continuously deepening. Now Sunjoy Kapoor's mother, Rani Kapoor, has also challenged her son's alleged will, questioning its authenticity. During the hearing in the Delhi High Court on Wednesday, the lawyer appearing on behalf of Rani Kapoor said that 80-year-old Rani Kapoor was not shown any document related to her son's will.
'Property worth 10,000 crores should have been mine' : Rani Kapoor
During the hearing, Rani Kapoor's lawyer told the court, "Something is very wrong in this case. Property worth 10,000 crores should have been mine." He alleged that Rani Kapoor sent 15 emails in this matter, but till now she has not received a single reply or information. The lawyer further claimed that some important assets of Sunjay Kapoor's company, Sona Comstar, were sold, which Rani Kapoor was not informed about.
"Shares worth 500 crore were sold to a Singapore company, but we were not even told who sold them. Nor were any documents related to it shared," the lawyer said.
The court sought information about all the properties
Looking at the seriousness of the matter, the Delhi High Court ordered all the parties to submit the information of all the properties till June 12, i.e., the date of Sunjay Kapoor's death, to the court. The hearing is on the petition filed by Karisma Kapoor's children Samaira Kapoor and Kian Raj Kapoor. In this petition, their father's second wife Priya Sachdev has been accused of preparing and manipulating the will in a fraudulent manner.
Along with Priya Sachdev, the names of Rani Kapoor, her son's sister Mandhira Kapoor Smith, and Shraddha Suri Marwah are also included in this case. Shraddha is said to be the executor of the alleged will dated 21 March 2025.
Rani Kapoor's allegation: Murder and conspiracy suspected
After the sudden death of Sunjay Kapoor, Rani Kapoor has raised serious questions about this. She alleged that her son could not have died of natural causes. Rani Kapoor has written a letter to the UK agencies demanding a thorough investigation into his death. She has expressed apprehension of possible murder, conspiracy and financial fraud in this case.
Sister also raised questions
Sunjay Kapoor's sister Mandhira Kapoor Smith also raised questions on her brother's death. She said, "My mother has just asked a simple question. We lost a family member. For my mother, he was a son and for me, a brother."
He further said, "No one told me when his last medical test was done. When did he get his heart checked for the last time? My mother asks me every day how all this happened. He was absolutely fit. Who will answer what happened to him?"
