New Delhi: A major minutiae has come to light in Tamil Nadu politics, where two MLAs from Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) have extended support to Senior Minister Joseph Vijay government. On Friday, IUML's Papanasam MLA AM Shahjahan and VCK's Tindivanam MLA Vanni Arasu took oath as ministers. With this, Vijay Cabinet is now completely ready. Earlier, 21 MLAs of Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) and two of Congress had moreover taken oath as ministers.

Vijay's party TVK had emerged as the largest party in the Tamil Nadu Turnout elections. The party had won 108 seats in the 234-member turnout but fell short of the majority mark. Without this, political talks unfurled for several days regarding government formation. Ultimately, Vijay proved majority in the turnout with the support of Congress, left parties, VCK and IUML. Vijay government got 144 votes in the floor test held on May 13.
