Kolkata: The repolling, which begun on Thursday wideness all 285 polling stations in the 144-Falta Turnout Constituency in West Bengal's South 24 Parganas district, saw a voter turnout of nearly 43 per cent till 11 am, with no untoward incident reported from anywhere, a poll panel official said.
Voting for repolling started at virtually 7 am and will conclude at 6 pm. Votes are scheduled to be counted on May 24. A total of 2.36 lakh electors, including 1,21,300 men, 1,15,135 women and nine third gender individuals, are eligible to exercise their franchise in the repoll.

Today, what I had to say was that I have withdrawn from this contest. For the sake of the people of Falta, for the sake of Falta's development, for the sake of maintaining peace in Falta."
