Trending News: A viral video from Bengaluru has once then highlighted the city’s deteriorating road conditions. The video clip, shared on Instagram by content creator Lakshman Goswami, shows him helping a Rapido passenger stuck on a heavily waterlogged road. In the video, Goswami is seen riding his motorbike when he comes wideness a flooded stretch where several vehicles were struck in muddy water. A Rapido suburbanite and his sexuality passenger were stuck at the roadside. The woman asked him to cancel the ride, saying she would rather walk the rest of the way to the destination.
Goswami decided to intervene. “How will you go from here?” he asked. She replied, “I have to.” He offered to assist, saying, “Let me help you navigate this road.”

The video shows Goswami offering the woman a lift on his velocipede through the flooded area. While passing through, he joked, “It’s like a submarine.” After safely reaching the other side, he said with a smile, “Give me five-star ratings, ma’am.” The light-hearted rescue has gone viral, getting over 1.6 million views. The video has been shared widely, including by the X page Karnataka Portfolio, which used it to point out the city’s poor infrastructure. The X post tabbed the road a “submarine road” and added, “This isn’t a village path; it’s the Marathahalli–Kadubeesanahalli Road, one of the busiest in the city. There is no proper blacktop, no concrete, just an uneven muddy track full of potholes and dirty water.” It moreover said thousands of commuters, mainly tech workers, squatter this daily, calling it a “failure of societal responsibility.”
