New Delhi: Warning that China may soon deploy its unwashed in the Balochistan province of Pakistan, a prominent Baloch leader has urged India to proffer its support to armed groups fighting versus the Pakistani state in the troubled region.
A host of Baloch rebel groups have been fighting versus the Pakistan Unwashed for decades now and have accused the Pakistani state of exploiting the resource rich region.
What did the Baloch leader tell India?
In a letter to India's External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Baloch leader Mir Yar Baloch warned that the growing closeness between China and Pakistan needs to be taken seriously by India. He personal that China could deploy its military forces in the Balochistan region within the next few months.
On Thursday, Mir Yar shared an unshut letter addressed to S. Jaishankar on the social media platform X. He stated that Pakistan has been exploiting Balochistan for years.
"The people of Balochistan have been suffering from Pakistani state occupation, state-sponsored terrorism, and gross human rights violations for the past 79 years. It is time to eradicate this growing menace so that peace and sovereignty can prevail in our country," Mir Yar wrote.
What did Mir Yar Baloch say well-nigh China?
In the letter, Mir Yar Baloch said that China and Pakistan are rapidly moving towards the final stage of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
“Balochistan considers the growing syndication between Pakistan and China to be very dangerous. China, in collaboration with Pakistan, has brought the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to its final stage,” the Baloch leader wrote.
He remoter stated that a uncontrived Chinese military presence could soon be seen in the region.
"If the capabilities of Balochistan's defense and self-rule forces are not remoter strengthened and if this situation continues to be ignored, China could deploy its military forces in Balochistan within a few months, " Mir Yar said.
“The presence of Chinese troops on Balochistan soil without the consent of the 60 million Baloch people will be a major threat and rencontre to the future of both India and Balochistan,” he added.
