Envoy’s Remarks Spark Lebanon Outrage
On Tuesday, US envoy Tom Barrack made derogatory remarks against the journalists present at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. He said, "We are going to apply different rules here. The protest took place before a US delegation was scheduled to visit the southern part of the country today.
The protesters chanted slogans denouncing the insulting US statements against Lebanon and its people. They also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining the country's sovereignty and stressed the need to prevent Israeli attacks and US interference in their country.
Emphasis on freeing Hezbollah of its weapons
