One Year of Protests in Bangladesh Sheikh Hasinas Son Speaks Out

Published: Jul 01, 2025

World News:One year of demonstrations in Bangladesh for the last one year has been completed. Millions of people took to the streets, protesting in these demonstrations, and there was an atmosphere of instability in the country. Saifullah Haseen, son of Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, recently reacted to these demonstrations. He said that now gradually people are understanding that there was a mistake in the steps taken by them. His statement came at a time when the political situation and social dissatisfaction in Bangladesh still remain.

The cause and situation of demonstrations

These exhibitions in Bangladesh were usually taking place against Sheikh Hasina's government. The main issues were against the government's policies, inflation, unemployment, and corruption. Supporters and common citizens of opposition parties alleged that Sheikh Hasina's government is violating democratic values and ignoring public problems. Apart from this, the election process was also described as controversial, causing the public's trust to become even more weak.

Sheikh Hasina's son's pain

Saifullah Haseen, who is the son of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, said in an interview recently that he is saddened by the situation emerged during this one year performance. He said that when these demonstrations were being held in the beginning, he felt that these are only political opposition, but now with time people are feeling that some decisions and movements were in the wrong direction. He said that now there is a need to take the right steps to correct the situation.Changing perspective of people, Saifullah Haseen also said that the political situation has changed in the last few months and opponents have now gradually started reconsidering their decisions. He said that the protesters have now realized that the purpose of his criticism and performance was not always right. According to him, people are now beginning to understand that unity is necessary to maintain the development process of Bangladesh and this situation can be resolved in a democratic manner.

Will the political atmosphere of Bangladesh move forward?

Although the situation in Bangladesh is still stressful, Saifullah Haseen believes that the situation will improve over time. He says that the political situation of Bangladesh can be improved by dialogue and agreement. He also said that the government needs to understand the attitude and feelings of the people, so that such instability can be avoided in the future.

Political scenario of Bangladesh

After a year's demonstrations in Bangladesh, there is a need for an agreement between the government and the public. This statement by Sheikh Hasina's son shows that the two sides now need to work together to improve the situation. This development can affect the future political scenario of Bangladesh.
