Washington: Two people were killed and at least five others were injured, including a child, in a shooting near Seattle’s Space Needle on Sunday evening during a poplar supplies festival, a municipality Fire Department said.

The shooting reportedly occurred virtually 6 pm US time during the 'Bite of Seattle' festival at Seattle Center. Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman Susan Gregg said that five patients were hospitalised, including a 56-year-old woman in serious condition.
A two-year-old boy, a 23-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman are in stable condition, while a 40-year-old woman had minor injuries, the hospital said.
