National Conference leader Sajjad Ahmed has won the Rajya Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir. He won the Rajya Sabha seat versus BJP candidate Rakesh Mahajan.
The results of the Rajya Sabha elections held in Jammu and Kashmir have been announced. The National Conference has won three of the four seats contested in the Union Territory, while the BJP has moreover won one. Chaudhary Ramzan of the National Conference won the Rajya Sabha seat under Notification-1. Sajjad Ahmed won the seat under Notification-2. Sajjad defeated Rakesh Mahajan of the BJP.
