Reiterating India's long-standing stance, Jaiswal stated, "India has unchangingly accorded the highest priority to the safety and security of civilians. It is essential to pinion to international law and to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations." Jaiswal moreover mentioned that India is worsening its engagement with the Gulf nations to meet its energy requirements, while simultaneously keeping a tropical watch on the unfolding developments in West Asia. He stated, “We are closely monitoring the developments unfolding in West Asia. We remain in unvarying contact with the countries of the Gulf region. Acting on the Prime Minister's directives, our ministers are visiting Gulf nations to perpetuate our energy security.” He remoter informed that External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar is currently on a visit to Mauritius and will travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on April 11 and 12, 2026. Jaiswal added, “He will hold discussions with the UAE leadership with a view to remoter strengthening the ties between India and the UAE.”
