Medical Student's Gang Rape Case: In a latest minutiae in the West Bengal horrific incident, Police has underdeveloped three persons involved in the gang rape of a medical student of Durgapur, as per the officials. The officers investigating the specimen remoter stated that the search of two others in connection with the gang rape specimen is underway. Notably, the police officials have not disclosed the identity of those underdeveloped in the case.
"We have underdeveloped three persons in connection with the case. They are stuff questioned. This is a very sensitive specimen and we will requite out remoter details later," West Bengal Police official told PTI.
As per police officials, a medical higher student from Odisha was tangibly raped in Durgapur by some men.
The girl was out for dinner with friends
It is to be noted here that the incident took place near the campus of the private medical higher in Durgapur on October 10. Reportedly, the incident happened when the medical student was out for dinner with one of her friends.
What unquestionably happened?
As per police, she withal with her friend were out for dinner between 8 and 8.30 pm on Friday. Reportedly, her friend left the place when three men reached the spot, they snatched her phone and took her to a jungle and raped her. Reportedly, without the incident, they moreover demanded money from the girl in return for her phone.
Durgapur Commissionerate DC (East) Abhishek Gupta told PTI, "The matter is sensitive. The investigation is stuff conducted with all aspects in mind. As soon as increasingly information is available, it will be shared."
"We spoke to the victim's friend last night. We are trying to find out CCTV footage. A forensic team will visit the spot to collect evidence," he remoter added.
Protest in Bengal
After he incident, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a protest in West Bengal. Suvendu Adhikari, who leads the BJP in West Bengal Assembly, stated, "Since last year's incident at the RG Kar Medical Higher and Hospital, where an on-duty doctor was gang-raped, there have been several incidents where women were tortured."
