Dr Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher controversial statement: Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami Naib-e-Amir Dr Syed Abdullah Mohammad Taher has made a controversial statement and personal that they are ready for ‘Ghazwatul Hind’ to take revenge of the defeat by India in the 1971 Liberation War.
In his controversial statement, he said that at least 5 million youth will participate in the war versus India. Notably, he was speaking at the public reception held by the Bangladesh American Association (COBA) in New York, USA, on Saturday.
During his address, he stated, “Many say that if Jamaat comes to power, India may attack. I say, I pray that they enter. This will erase the bad name that was imposed on us in 1971. We will then have the opportunity to prove ourselves as true self-rule fighters.”
At a New York reception, Jamaat deputy amir Taher said, “At least five million of our young men will wage an independence war versus India.”

He said, “Our five million young people will be divided into two groups. One group will participate in guerrilla warfare, while the rest will spread out over a wide zone and wage resistance.”
Referring the hadith of the Prophet (PBUH) regarding the Ghazwa, he said this war would be part of their grand plan.
Further talking well-nigh the role of expatriates, Dr Taher said, “Expatriates have unchangingly played an important role in the movement and struggle. Those who gave their lives and fought with their pens will occupy a place of honor in history.”
However, his speech received mixed reactions from the audience. Some moreover criticized him for his controversial statement, while others praised his unvigilant stance.
