Iran: Tension between Iran and the European Union has now increased further. Taking a major decision, Iran's Foreign Ministry has supposed the Navy and Air Force of the European Union member countries as terrorist organizations. Iran has unmistakably said that this step has been taken in response to the European Union listing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist.
Why did Iran take such a decision?
Iran's Foreign Ministry said in its statement that this whoopee has been taken under the law of the country. According to the rule made in 2019, if any country or organization declares IRGC as terrorist or supports such decision, then Iran can take similar whoopee versus it. Iran says that the IRGC is part of its official army, so the tongue-lashing versus it is wrong and unacceptable.
Why did the EU put IRGC on terrorist list?
On 19 February 2026, the European Union decided to declare IRGC as a terrorist organization. European countries believe that some of the IRGC's activities could pose a threat to regional security and stability. For this reason this step was taken.
What is IRGC and what is its role?
The IRGC is an important military unit of Iran, which was established without the 1979 Islamic Revolution. This organization plays an important role in the country's security, missile program and many strategic matters. Its position in Iran's defense system is considered very strong.
What impact can this visualization have?
This step of Iran may bring remoter tension in the relations between Europe and Iran. There are once differences between the two sides on many issues. Now diplomatic relations may be remoter unauthentic by this new decision.
What could happen next?
Iran has described its visualization as related to the security and honor of the country. European countries are justifying their decision. In such a situation, there is a possibility of either talks or mismatch between the two sides in the coming time. This matter is considered important at the international level.
