International News: The growing conflict between America and Venezuela now seems to be reaching a dangerous turn. US President Donald Trump has given a direct warning to Venezuela on Friday. Trump has said that if Venezuela's fighter planes fly over American naval ships and pose any kind of threat, they will be shot down immediately.
In fact, US officials had informed that the Venezuelan army flew its military planes very close to the US ship near South America for two consecutive days. After this, the Trump administration adopted a tough stance. US media reports are claiming that further increasing the tension, the White House has announced that the US is sending 10 F-35 stealth fighter jets to Puerto Rico.
US is considering surgical strike
According to US media reports, the Trump administration is preparing to attack drug cartels operating in Venezuela. Washington has already declared these cartels as narco-terrorist organizations. CNN has claimed, citing its sources, that the US is considering surgical strike-like attacks on drug smuggling gangs inside Venezuela. Currently, US warships, Marines troops and a nuclear-powered submarine have been deployed a short distance from Venezuela's maritime border.
Venezuela also gave warning
The reason for the tension was the incident when the US army tried to stop a ship laden with drugs. 11 people were killed in this. After this incident, Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro called the US allegations baseless and said that the differences cannot be resolved through military conflict.
Maduro has warned that if Venezuela is attacked, the country will immediately go into armed conflict. He claimed that he has a regular army of 3.4 lakh soldiers, and more than eight million fighters have been prepared including reserves and militia.
Trump’s Dispute With Venezuela’s President
The tussle between Trump and Maduro is not new. The US President has long been calling Maduro a narco-trafficker. In August, the Trump administration increased the reward for information leading to Maduro's arrest to $50 million. Not only this, the US did not even recognize Maduro's election victory in 2018 and 2024. The Trump administration has accused Maduro of running a drug cartel and has increased the reward for his arrest directly to $50 million.
