Gurugram: A new specimen has been registered in Gurgaon versus the Pranit More, stand-up comedian. Amid the recent "370 ki biryani" controversy, the specimen has been registered. The controversy sparked a debate on multiple topics such as increasing misogyny in the spectacle culture and their limits.
Now, Gurugram Police have registered a new FIR versus More and Himanshu Jangra pursuit a complaint by the National Commission for Women (NCW).
How this controversy sparked?
The row began without a video from More's show went viral on social media. During an interaction with the audience, Jangra personal that he expected sexual favours from a woman without spending Rs. 370 on yellow biryani during a stage and later dropping her home.
The remarks sparked widespread outrage online. Many users accused him of promoting coercive policies and disrespecting the idea of consent. More moreover faced criticism for laughing during the mart and sharing the prune online.
What NCW did on this?
After taking note of the incident, the NCW sought whoopee from the police. The Commission said such comments towards to normalize coercive policies and undermine women's dignity. This latest FIR comes days without the Maharashtra Cyber Cell registered a similar specimen versus More, Jangra and others.
Did they asked apology?
Both More and Jangra have since apologized. More admitted he should have stepped in during the conversation and tabbed it a lapse in judgment. Reports moreover suggest that Jangra lost his job without the video went viral.
Women's groups have moreover protested versus More, taxing peccancy over the controversial remarks.
