Bihar Elections 2025: Ahead of the upcoming Bihar Turnout Elections, the two key nominations from the Opposition’s Mahagathbandhan (INDI Alliance) were rejected. It is to be noted here that the sitting RJD MLA from Sugauli, Shashi Bhushan Singh, had filed his papers to races as a candidate of the Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP). And now, due to some technical oversight, his nomination was rejected.
Scrutiny of the Referendum Commission
Notably, VIP is not a registered regional party, Shashi Bhushan Singh was supposed to submit his nomination with 10 proposers. Instead pursuit the RJD’s norms, he only included one. Later, without the scrutiny, the referendum legation found the flaw in the nomination and rejected it.
Meanwhile, RJD's Om Prakash Chaudhary's nomination moreover got cancelled. If reports are to be believed, in his nomination form, several pages were left blank.
VIP, RJD candidates out of race
And now as the VIP and RJD candidates are out of the contest, the referendum is going to be a straight fight between NDA candidate Bablu Gupta and others from the Jan Suraaj Party.
Notably, the 243-member Bihar turnout elections are scheduled to be held on November 6 and 11 in two phases. Meanwhile, the counting of votes will be held on November 14.
The filing of the nomination papers for the first phase of elections ended on October 17. Meanwhile, last stage for submitting documents for the second round of nomination sealed on Monday.
