Patna: Ahead of the Bihar turnout elections 2025, the polling schedule of some of the turnout constituencies in Bihar has been revised by the Referendum Legation of India due to the security concerns. The polling schedule in Bihar is normally held between from 7 AM to 6 PM in most regions.
It is to be noted here that due to the safety concerns in some sensitive areas, the polling schedule has been revised. Without a survey, the referendum legation has spoken that voting in some regions will end an hour earlier, i.e., from 7 AM to 5 PM. And without this revision, virtually 1,300 polling booths will come under this category, most of which are part of the second phase of polling.
What are the sensitive areas?
As per the revised schedule by the Referendum Commission, all polling booths in Simri Bakhtiyarpur and Mahishi (Phase 1) will self-mastery voting from 7 AM to 5 PM. In the Suryagarha turnout constituency (also Phase 1), 56 polling booths self-mastery elections between 7 AM to 5 PM. Meanwhile, elections in the remaining polling booths will protract till 6 PM.
Meanwhile, in the second phase, all polling booths in Chainpur, Sikandra, Rajouli, Jhajha, Govindpur, Jamui, and Chakai will end at 5 PM instead of 6 PM. Notably, some polling booths in other constituencies will conclude at 5 PM.

- Nabinagar: 26 booths
- Sherghati: 48 booths
- Barachatti: 36 booths
- Bodh Gaya: 20 booths
What teach are given to the voters?
Notably, voting in the rest of the polling booths of these constituencies will end as usual until 6 PM. It is to be noted here that the Referendum Legation has made these changes to ensure smooth and unscratched election.
Voters are suggested to trammels the timing of their polling booths and reach the polling stations early to stave last-minute rush.
