New Delhi: The monsoon which was sluggish in North-West India for the last few days, is now going to wilt zippy again. The Meteorological Department says that due to the cyclonic system worked in the North-East virtually July 20 and the western disturbance, the rains will increase. Red Alert: Warning of heavy to very heavy rain in 18 states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar.
Orange Alert: Eastern UP, Bihar, Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim and hilly West Bengal.
Yellow Alert: Jammu and Kashmir, Odisha and rest of West Bengal. Heatwaves and hot winds may occur in some areas of Rajasthan, Western Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat.
What is the situation in UP-Bihar?
Uttar Pradesh: There is rain zestful in 22 districts. There may be very heavy rain in 8 districts and heavy rain in 5. Many places have been flooded due to heavy rains in Gorakhpur.
But the problem is that since the onset of monsoon, there has been less than normal rainfall in UP. This has unauthentic farming in many districts.
Bihar: There is orange zestful for 27 districts. Light to moderate rain will protract for the next 4 days. Here too this time the rainfall has been much less than normal.

Chhattisgarh: Monsoon is fine here. Northern districts including Raipur may receive intermittent good rain for the next 5 days. Light rain occurred at many places in the last 24 hours also. But if we squint at the unshortened season, here too there is less rainfall than normal.
What will happen without July 20?
IMD says that without July 20, the monsoon will proceeds strength again. Due to western disturbance and north-eastern system, rainfall will moreover increase in the northwest, Rajasthan and Gujarat.
