Bageshwar Dham on not getting Katha's permission in West Bengal: In his unvigilant statement, Bageshwar Dham's Pandit Dhirendra Krishna Shastri said that he will not hold a Katha (religious discourse) in West Bengal as long as 'Didi' Mamata Banerjee is the Chief Minister. In his statement he said, "We were supposed to go to West Bengal, but Didi (Mamata Banerjee) refused us. The permission itself was cancelled. As long as Didi is there, we won't go; when Dada comes, then we will go."
It is to be noted here that Dhirendra Krishna Shastri's Hanumant Katha was scheduled to be held in Kolkata on October 10, 11, and 12, 2025. But prior to the katha, its permission was cancelled due to weather reasons. Permission for Katha was not granted to him at any other location either. Reportedly, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri has now postponed it.

Speaking well-nigh the same, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri said, "We were supposed to go to West Bengal, but Didi refused us. You understand who we are talking about, we don't want to take names... Look, the permission itself was cancelled and permission is not stuff granted elsewhere. Where it was, it got waterlogged."
