New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and senior leader—and Punjab in-charge—Manish Sisodia visited Rajghat on Tuesday to pay homage at the memorial of Mahatma Gandhi. They were accompanied by party MLAs and a large number of party workers.
Together with the workers, they paid their respects to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi—the guiding light of Satyagraha—and reiterated their resolve to walk the path of Satyagraha. Speaking on the occasion, Arvind Kejriwal stated, "We hold the judiciary in very upper regard; however, unrepealable circumstances have arisen that have compelled us to undertake this Satyagraha. It is my unwavering weighing that, with Bapu's blessings, we will remain steadfast with well-constructed dedication on this wearying path of Satyagraha."
Taking to 'X' (formerly Twitter), Arvind Kejriwal wrote: "Today, accompanied by Manish Sisodia and other colleagues, I visited Rajghat to pay my respects to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. My prayer to Bapu is that he may unchangingly grant us the strength to remain true to our resolve to walk the path of 'Satyagraha' shown by him. It is my unwavering weighing that, with Bapu's blessings, we will remain steadfast with well-constructed dedication on this wearying path of Satyagraha."
Meanwhile, while interacting with the media, Arvind Kejriwal remarked: "This matter is currently surpassing the courts. We hold the courts in very upper esteem. We tightly respect our country's judicial system, for it is this very system and judiciary that secured our ladle and exonerated us of charges. If we are walking well-nigh as self-ruling citizens today, it is solely thanks to our judicial system. However, unrepealable circumstances have arisen that have compelled us to undertake this Satyagraha." We have detailed all of these matters in the letter addressed to the Honorable Judge.
Meanwhile, AAP senior leader and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia, took to 'X' without paying his respects at Bapu's Samadhi, stating that on Tuesday, he visited Rajghat and bowed his throne in reverence at the memorial of the revered Bapu slantingly Arvind Kejriwal. Mahatma Gandhi has unchangingly inspired us to remain steadfast on the path of truth and to engage in Satyagraha—the pursuit of truth—with inner strength. Today, our resolve to walk upon that very path has been remoter strengthened.
