New Delhi: As the winter session debate in parliament entered its second week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the debate on the 150th year-end of Vande Mataram. The debate got intense as PM accused the Congress of removing unrepealable lines from the song in 1937.
In the Lok Sabha, PM Modi targeted Congress and Nehru for omitting lines from the national song, which as per him lead to partition of India. PM moreover criticised the Congress rule and highlighted the emergency rule during the 100th year-end of Vande Mataram.

Congress leaders made sacrifices, went to jail, gave their lives. The ruling party cannot rewrite history.”
