Patna: Good news has come for the people of Bihar. Just as the huge temple of Lord Venkateshwara in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh attracts devotees, on the same lines, now preparations have started to build a grand Dham in Mokama, Bihar. The government has completed its first and most important step. For the project, 10.11 acres of land located at Mokama Khas has been handed over to the Tourism Department. Now the way for the construction of the temple is scrutinizingly clear.
Why was Mokama chosen?
Mokama is no ordinary place. This municipality situated on the banks of Ganga has been associated with culture, history and religious beliefs for centuries. This is the place where the three warmed-over districts of Anga, Magadha and Mithila meet. Apart from this, the Ardh Kumbh Mela held at Simaria Ghat moreover gives special importance to it.
